Mystery Ship

Travel Air’s were flown by the top race pilots of the early 30’s, Frank Hawks, Jimmy Doolittle, Doug Davis and others all flew Model R’s.  Doug Davis won the 1929 Thompson Trophy Race in the #31, often called the travel Air “Mystery Ship”

The Rough and Ready Aviation version of the “Mystery Ship” makes a great little pylon racer, as well as a fun flying sport model. It is best suited to outdoor or larger indoor sites.

Note:

For the lightest possible indoor flying weight we recommend using the 350 mA battery.

For the racers outdoors or for a little longer flight duration the 500 is an option at the expense of higher flight speed.
